We are often asked and even ask ourselves, "How can we have faith?" Though many wouldn't say it out loud because they may feel ashamed or never actually admit it. But asking the question and finding the answer is crucial. If one dosent then they are allowing themselves a chance for more doubt to grow in there faith and then they will drift away from God. We will approach the question and also how we can strengthen our faith.
The word faith is a very common word in our lives, but do we actually know what it really means? I think its one of those words that we hear all the time but have no true concept what it means to us. Faith is trusting without actually seeing. We chose to have faith. It is ultimately our choice to trust something, no one can force us. We can be influenced to believe in something but it is "I" that tells myself that this is is what i think. Faith in God is having the confidence that he is our heavenly father. Faith is loyalty when we stick to what we believe when others question our belief. Faith is hope that God will do amazing works in our life.
As Christians our faith is questioned and oppressed. We are asked why we believe in what we believe in and why we are so motivated to share this good news? There are three major sources of that oppression. The first source I call the Outer circle. In this part it includes things outside us like media, school, or the general public. This source oppress us because this gives people a status quo to live by. If you dont follow this status quo then you are perceived as weird and labeled as an outcast. Because we dont want to be seen differently we chose to abandon our faith, whether that is not going to church or all together stop believing in God. the second source is called the inner circle. This group are people that we see and meet frequently and greatly influence our lives. These people include our friends and family. What our friends and family think of us is very important. We care what they think because we trust them and we listen to what they have to say. Though it maybe wrong that misconception still sticks to us and soon enough we think that same wrong way. The third source is the biggest influence over our faith. That source is ourselves. No matter how much doubt or criticism we hear, in the end it is "us" who decides whether to believe or not. We choose to believe in someone else over God. Because of these three groups, our faith is challenged to a point where we ourselves dont know why we believe anymore.
Brothers and sisters, i know that the fight is hard and the road to God is difficult. You are being pulled in all directions and looked down upon because of our faith. We are tired from being castigated, we are worn out from our prosecution We get to a point where we ask ourselves "How can i have faith." The answer is easy if you let it be. We can have faith by just loving him. Just by loving God we enable ourselves the chance to have faith, to have hope and to have a life we Jesus. One of the key points of being a christian is having a relationship with God. in a normal realtionship we develop trust and faith in that individual by being in love with that person. We trust our parents not because that bought it from us or the begged and begged until we finally gave it to them; But because we love them we allow ourselves to have faith in them
Just Love God and we will have faith. Just Love Him.
